After the tumult of the 2015 vintage, we were granted a reprieve by Mother Nature for the 2016 vintage. It was one of those wonderfully “boring” growing seasons where everything runs smoothly. The grapes for this Chardonnay were grown in Carneros at the Southern end of the Napa Valley. The cool coastal influence allowed the grapes to maintain textbook acid levels as they ripened to perfection into September. Expect aromas of guava and orange blossom with touches of butterscotch and honey. There is a creamy mouth-feel and a rich mid palate, all balanced by a refreshing acidity on the finish. This is what Napa Chardonnay is all about!
